El domingo 26 de abril, Londres acogerá la ceremonia de entrega de los premios BAFTA Television Craft Awards que otorga la Academia Británica de Cine y Televisión y, este martes, la organización ha anunciado las nominaciones, que lidera ‘Adolescencia’, la ficción creada por Stephen Graham y Jack Thorne, y dirigida por Philip Barantini, estrenada en marzo de 2025 y que, desde entonces, ha encadenado un éxito tras otro.
La serie de Netflix sobre un niño de 13 años acusado de asesinar a una compañera de clase, que protagoniza Owen Cooper, ha obtenido 11 nominaciones. A ella le siguen ‘A Thousand Blows’ de Disney+ con siete, ‘Andor’ y la irlandesa ‘Trespasses’, que acumulan seis, y el reality ‘The Celebrity Traitors’ con cinco.
Jane Millichip, directora ejecutiva de Bafta, ha destacado que 2025 ha supuesto un «año excepcional para la televisión», señalando que «los 124 programas nominados ponen de manifiesto la fuerza y la originalidad de la narrativa británica».
«Desde documentales impactantes y comedias excepcionales hasta dramas nacionales y series internacionales que captaron la atención mundial, los nominados de este año demuestran que el medio se encuentra en su apogeo creativo», ha añadido.
